Directions:
1. Working by yourself, choose three assignments from the board including the middle square to get “tic tac toe.” You
must choose your 3 tasks from a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal line that MUST include the middle square.
2. All assignments should be completed on Google Slides or PowerPoint and submitted to Teams by Friday, 11/20.
3. Your completed assignments will count as a 100 point SUMMATIVE grade (50 points for the middle square and 50 points
for the other two assignment choices – 25 points each).
4. You MAY NOT just pick any three squares.
5. Below is a list of Macroeconomic concepts. You must choose at least 3 to address in your project. Each concept can only
be used once—one concept per task:

Current Event Article and Blog Post
Find an article from this year, that
relates to one of your Macroeconomic
concepts. Write a written summary in
your own words (at least a full
paragraph). Then write 3 comments as
if 3 different people were responding to
the article – like a blog post. Include a
link to the article on a slide.
Graph, Chart, or Diagram
Find two current graphs, charts, or
diagrams for one of your concepts.
Explain what information is being
presented and how the chart, etc.
illustrates the concept. Write at least
one full paragraph. Include the chart,
etc. and paragraph on a slide.
Infographic
Find an infographic that relates to one
of your concepts. Create at least 4 openended questions that highlight the most
important information about that
concept from the infographic. Include a
link to the infographic and your
questions on a slide.
News Clip or TED Talk
Find a news clip or Ted Talk (provide the
link on the slide) that relates to one of
your concepts. Write at least a full
paragraph explaining how it relates to
your concept and what you learned.
Music Lyric Assignment
Select a song that has economic
content. Listen carefully to the lyrics and
do the following:
Make a list of all economic concepts
that are either mentioned or implied in
the song. Then, write a summary
describing the basic message, idea, or
themes expressed in the lyrics.
Instagram Photograph
Find an Instagram photograph that
depicts one of your concepts. Write a
caption for it that shows how it applies
to your concept.
OR
Take your own photograph and add a
caption explaining your concept.
Meme
Create a meme that relates to one of
your concepts. Provide an explanation
of the meme and how it relates to your
concept.
Twitter Post
Find a real Twitter post about one of
your concepts. You can use
MarketWatch, Yahoo Finance, or a
news feed. Explain how the post relates
to one of your concepts. Include at least
2 hashtags (#…) that relate to the
concept.
OR
Create your own Twitter post (140
characters or less) about one of your
concepts. Include at least 2 hashtags
that relate to the concept.
Cartoon
Create your own cartoon that depicts
one of your concepts. Provide a full
explanation of the cartoon and how it
relates to your concept.
