Jasmine Wells is asking you, a team of eager IT students, to help with a new information system. The first step is to assess the feasibility and make a business case for this new system. So after reviewing the system request, you should do a preliminary feasibility analysis as the first major activity of the project planning process. The business needs and desired business value is outlined in the system request.  Refer to the textbook and the presentations/articles provided in Canvas for guidelines in helping your team develop the business case with sections designated for economic, technical, and organizational feasibility analyses.  The business case is the first major activity of the project planning process.  This case report should allow Jasmine to make a business decision as to whether to proceed or not.  Make reasonable estimates or assumptions for any information not provided in the system request. Specifically, submit a professional-looking report that includes the following sections:

Prompt:
A statement of purpose or business needs for the project.
What business value should be expected as a result of implementing the system?
Scope Statement:  a short paragraph defining the functional requirements to be included in this project; Focus on the major business needs and functionality listed in the system request as well as those identified from the textbook, in-class discussions, and your individual group brainstorming and internet research.
A technical feasibility study—focusing on the technical issues/challenges for the project; identify risks and a measure of impact on the business (low, medium, high), and how to address them.
An economic feasibility study—does it make sense from a business perspective; can the business owner(s) afford it? Include a cost-benefit analysis with ROI, NPV, and payback (breakeven) metrics; identify risks and a measure of their impact on the business (low, medium, high), and how to address them.  An example cost/benefit table is available in the textbook and a template spreadsheet has been provided that you’ll need to update as appropriate (see below). Insert a screen capture of the spreadsheet in your report and also submit the actual spreadsheet so that I can review your work.
An organizational feasibility study—will the current business operations be able to embrace the new system? Also, identify risks and a measure of impact on the business (low, medium, high), and how to address them.  In addition, consider how strategically aligned the project is with the goals of the business and how likely the various stakeholders will adopt the new system.

Your report should be between one and two pages long; single-spaced, and organized with appropriate section headings. Additionally, you need a working spreadsheet for a cost/benefit analysis (over five years), including ROI, NPV (@ 4 %), and a (refer to the benefits’ and cost numbers calculated by your spreadsheet for the economic feasibility).
