Analytics and collecting the data from all your possible marketing channels is important to growing your business and finding where possible angles or gaps may appear. Researching what others are doing is helpful to see the growth of fellow competitors and what is possible when taking advantage of digital marketing strategies.
1. Visit the Facebook page of an accomplished, popular professional photographer (any genre)
2. Create an analog analytics report based on any 10 posts from their feed (choose any 10 – not all in a row)
3. Use an Excel spreadsheet and hand it into Blackboard (a spreadsheet is uploaded for you to use in Week 6 folder)
Why are we doing this?
We’re looking for patterns relating to the posts:
• Which types of posts had most engagement?
• Which had the worst?
• What days worked best?
• What times?
• Who is engaging?
All of these patterns will show you a lot about a company, their strategies (or lack thereof), what they post and what does well for engagement, and if they are taking advantage of their own insights/analytics.
Hand in your document as a . XLS or . PDF to Blackboard. If handing in a . PDF, please ensure you select the correct horizontal orientation and that it is legible on ONE page! Named: lastname_firstname_assign5.pdf or .xlsx
